Content Creator

Job Title: Content Creator

Hours: Part-time

I. Purpose of the Job:

• Produce video, graphic, and motion graphic content for all media platforms as well as in-service experiences to collaboratively execute the vision of Fellowship Church together with the Fellowship Church Staff Team.

II. Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Final Cut Pro (Premiere CC, After Effects CC)
  • Previous experience in DSLR video workflow
  • Experience with shooting and editing video on a deadline basis is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges, and ideas
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate organization needs, and offer creative solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to extract compelling elements from raw video footage
  • Experience promoting a brand or organization using social media (including Instagram and Facebook)
  • Writing and editing experience
  • Experience managing volunteers
  • General knowledge of design concepts with a pulse for current trends and techniques
  • Ability to build a team
  • Ability to lead a team in completing projects
  • Proven track record of effective time management

III. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create stories and announcements through video that will show primarily through social media during the weekend services
  • Participate in shoots and edit videos for conferences and special services
  • Conceptualize and create video content from start to finish for weekend services and conferences
  • Create video content for the ministries of Fellowship Church
  • Be a part of on-location video shoots
  • Receive footage and be able to create a video outline with it
  • Digitally cut files to put together the sequence and decide what is usable
  • Oversee the quality of the audio in videos
  • Consulting with the director, producer and/or ministry client throughout the post-production process
  • Submit purchase requisitions pertaining to social media and website.
  • Initiate social media strategies and timelines for services, departments, special events, and conferences
  • Find and moderate stories of life change to share on video and social media
  • Develop and upkeep an engaging website that acts as a first-time guest friendly platform
  • Serve as a liaison between technologies and Creative Department about marketing strategies
  • Understand the Fellowship Church brand, support and improve it through website and all social media
  • Manage a Dream Team of volunteers to assist in content creation for social media and acquiring stories for all
  • regular services and events
  • Connect with departments about potential stories of life change
  • Stay current on social media trends
  • Create timelines for social media posting and messaging
  • Completion of any and all other necessary assigned tasks from the Creative Director and/or direct supervisor.
  • Weekly Responsibilities
  • -  Attend weekly staff meetings
  • -  Report updates on all projects to direct supervisor
  • -  Respond to emails, phone calls, and texts in a timely manner
  • -  Manage projects, organize tasks, and prioritize workload
  • -  Communicate project progress with ministry departments
  • -  During non-business hours, be available for rare emergency work
